The Sea of Cortez is gentle water, in contrast to the Pacific Ocean. There are no giant waves and no riptides here. Swimmers of all ages can enjoy the water year-round. The beaches are vast, extending north and south for miles, with myriad coves punctuating long stretches of sandy shore. As the water is warm, one can spend hours swimming, snorkeling, beachcombing or settling in with a good book. It’s an easy stroll down our steps to start your beach adventure. To the north one finds lovely private coves with smooth black stones perfect for creating your own hot rock massage. To the south one encounters the dive and snorkel boats launching from the beach and then, beyond, miles of smooth white sand and a bay as calm as a bathtub.
