Baja Serenity was built with retreats in mind. If you love being near the beach, your group will love it here!! We are situated on 5 acres directly on the Sea of Cortez. Our “sweet spot” is 15-25 students (but we can accommodate up to 40 students). The property features a plunge pool and hot tub; sunny and shaded areas for lounging and relaxation; a sky deck for whale-watching and star-gazing; and a meditation garden. All rooms are within a minute’s stroll to our dining pavilion and the fabulous beach. We offer a fantastic retreat experience including luxury accommodations; airport transportation; farm-to-table meals; and ample excursions and activities.
SUMMARY OF THE ROOMS
All rooms are fully enclosed (no bugs!) and all of them include ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning in the warmer months. Linens, bedding and towels are of the highest quality.
We are priced comparably to other retreat locations in southern Baja. Our wholesale rates include luxury accommodations; airport transfers; 3 meals per day; and any taxes. Not included are excursions; smoothies and alcohol; and gratuity.
Our Yoga Pavilion (or Activities Pavilion) is a gorgeous open-air space surrounded by lush gardens. It has a great view of the ocean. Birds surround it and their song adds a sweet ambient track to any practice. The Pavilion can accommodate up to 40 practitioners and includes mats, blocks, straps and bolsters. It features attractive lighting and a sound system. See the section of the website devoted to the Yoga Pavilion for more information and photos. (In addition, some yoga/wellness teachers enjoy holding one or more classes on the beach directly in front of the property.)
Baja Serenity is located in the quaint village of Cabo Pulmo, known internationally for its fantastic snorkeling and diving. Everything is walking distance. The village includes a handful of restaurants and bars plus small gift shops and convenience stores with the basics. There are fantastic hikes, kayaking and mountain biking. The village is twenty minutes from the newly opened Four Seasons Costa Palma for those wanting a day trip with an added layer of luxury.
The open-air dining pavilion makes for festive and memorable meals. It is a highlight of every retreat. We offer meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian options, but can omit any of the above on request. Our team of chefs have trained at the finer Los Cabos resorts and our food is of restaurant quality. We offer excellent spa services, with our masseuses offering a variety of styles and massage durations. Sign-ups occur on Day 1 and Day 2 of the retreat. The most popular activities off-property include snorkeling and diving, and we are happy to assist in arranging these tours. The boats depart just down the beach, a 3-5 minute walk. Hiking and kayaking are also available. Cooking classes, wine or tequila tastings, movie nights, star-gazing tours, karaoke, and a fire on the beach can all be arranged as well.
Sometimes, the biggest challenge for a retreat organizer is managing attendee sign-ups and collecting payments. We recommend using the site We Travel, which streamlines the entire process by collecting payments and sending reminders to those paying in installments. We are familiar with their site and are happy to help you register with them. We also provide formatted text you can place on your website to promote Serenity Reef as a great destination for your retreat group. Finally, we promote your retreat on our website under a section called “Upcoming Retreats.”
